So I’ve got some games around the house that are crampin’ my style. Not because they’re bad. They just don’t jive with my, uh, feng sui (which basically revolves around not having excess games piled in front of my TV). In fact, these games are all pretty badass. But it’s gonna require a wee bit o’ work to win them from my desperate-to-ditch-them clutches.
Here’s what it’s going to take:
Step 1: Read one of Derrek’s stupendous Box Art Betterment articles.
Step 2: Create your own Box Art Betterment from any or all of the winnable games. No text/article writing required — we just want to laugh at your hysterical artistic wizardry. PhotoShop is fine, but we do appreciate a good MS Paint edit. Just puttin that out there.
Step 3: E-mail your totally sweet art to DownWriteFierce@Gmail.com with the subject line “Box Art Betterment.” The staff here will judge your awesome/terrible entries and announce the winners ASAP.
The deadline for submissions will be ol’ All Saints’ Day, November 1, 2009 at 11:59pm. Make all them saints proud, eh? Here’s the box arts you’ll be editing, and the games you’ll be winning (you don’t need to use these exact images, but it’s a start):
The bigger your box art, the better. We’re looking for comedy, creativity and otherwise radtacularness in all entries. Please only submit one entry per game but feel free to take a shot at all three to increase your chances. Sorry to the international folk, but we’re limiting this to North America. Let’s face it, UK, your shipping rates are ridiculous.

Dear God, this is awesome. I game becuase it makes me feel like an awesometacular amazing guy. Not long ago I started playing games becuase my girtlfirend dumped me and she said I’d never amount to anything. SO I started playing World of Warcraft, you may have heard of it.
RIght now I’m a level 70 night druid shaman. It took me about 2 months, but now I can look at the Valley of Trials and laugh at alll of the noobulars who chill there and just grind and grind away, because I too was there, but those guys are lame because I’m awesome.
My cybercock is soooo big you couldn’t even begin to imagine the girth, I’ll show my ex-gf whats up when I sell my account for $800, Canadian natch cuz the US dollar is weak as fuck.
