Few games fill me with such vitriolic hatred as Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. A World War II game that sees the Nazis invading America is a decent alternate history story, but it’s wasted on invisible walls, broken gameplay and infuriating glitches. It simply isn’t fun in any capacity — wretched shooting allows enemies, some of whom randomly pop into existence before your eyes, to survive the damage of an entire clip; dudes will glitch into walls and through floors; and horrid checkpoints leave you replaying unfairly difficult segments. The saving graces of Turning Point are few: I killed a Nazi-friendly US President with a grenade inside the oval office, and any notion of a sequel dies with the main character during the meaningless, inconclusive ending.
